Kendriya Vidyalaya NPA Shivarampally was started on 01.04.1984 as a civil sector school sponsored by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. It is situated in Shivarampally village, Rajendranagar mandal, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana state under Loksabha Constituency – Chevella.Presently the Vidyalaya is running with classes I to X in THREE sections and classes XI to XII in single section with Science and Commerce Stream. The school is catering the educational needs of the transferable employees of NPA, CISF, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, and other local central and state government employees’ children.Programmes such as Swachh Bhaarat, Harita Vidyalaya – Green School programme, National Sanitation Programme, Barrier free access, National Disaster Management Programmes, Bharat Scouts & Guides programme, Science Exhibition, Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat programme, “Swasth Bachche Swasth Bharat” Health and Fitness Programme, Jigyasa-link with CSIR Labs, Skill Saathi, Excursion, Adventure programmes and so on, Guest Lectures from Police, Fire, Legal, Scientific Departments, Motivational Speeches from Ramakrishna Math, Alumni, participation in various National Level Olympiads such as National Talent Search Examination, Science and Math Olympiads conducted by IAPT, Green Olympiad conducted by TERI, Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan conducted by DST, Govt of India, competitions conducted by Indian Postal Department, National Children Science Congress, various agencies of the District and so on, make the students to achieve overall development of their personality.The Vidyalaya has a well-stocked library of 10000 books to inculcate regular reading habits. We subscribe to over 40 magazines and periodicals. Computer Education is provided by well-qualified specialists from Class III to Class XII. The Vidyalaya has THREE well equipped Computer Laboratories with 40 computers, each. All the computers are connected through LAN along with N-computing systems. The Lab is equipped with 15 iPads, supported by iTV and LCD Projectors which convert classes into smart classes by bringing technology into classroom for better and enjoyable teaching learning process. Vidyalaya is procuring Touch Panels for all classrooms, to enable the digitalized learning process.
